Shaping Wire
Edit the Earth wire you need to go through several holes, and nozzle. On average, represent one of the squares, or vice versa, requires pulling it through the holes 10-12, and annealing it several times.
If you are making an oval, round or square wire, first forged spool, or a little flat, you can rough in this shape more quickly than the nozzle with a hammer. Just be sure to anneal after flattening, and before you take the nozzle.
Another simple way to modify the cord is used in rolling mills. You can edit the round wire into a flat oval or square wire and then the rectangular wire with a few passes through the rollers.
Suppose you need a half-round wire, ideal for jewelry making, but you can not draw a semi-circular disc. Use the drawing board instead of a round. Just fold it in half so that it has doubled, and pull it through the round nozzle. Once you’ve done it cut the wire side of the U-bend, you could end up with two pieces of half-round wire. If you’re starting from square or round wire straighten it a little first, so doubling burn more easily fit into a round hole.
This complex and draw technique works to make a rectangular warehouse square nozzle and make a quarter-round wire by passing a bunch of four-square lines through the round nozzle. It is also working to make the triangle a square wire nozzle.
How to Straighten Wire
Straightened out and make it suitable for jewelry making, you stretch it. Anneal wire, and then clamp the other end of the vice chairman. Using the pull tongue stick to the other end and pull the wire so it goes straight. You know, it gives little or relax. When you release the tension wire is perfectly straight. Remember to stand in the correct position and pull the right height.
If you want to straighten it after the final drawing, keep in mind the finished diameter is slightly smaller, when you’ve stretched the thread taut.
Short periods of time to straighten the wire coil between two steel blocks. This work-hardens the thread in addition to straightening it.
Documentation of Work
When you draw a wire, record the start and the shape, dimensions, and the lengths of the material is pulled. Note: special drawplates you used, the number of holes you draw it through, and when you spent a desired result.
